I have spent the last few days talking to people on WordPress and my page on Facebook http://email@example.com and am more amazed than ever in the amount of LOVELY, and yes beautiful people there are out there that are hurting.
My heart goes out to each one of them in their unique circumstances. One is dealing with the death of her husband, one lost a child, one is in the hospital with cancer (despite her pain she said she is making me a bracelet- She is amazing how she is still trying to touch other’s hearts.) One is missing the love of her life in another country far away. Many have been abused. Their stories are each different, yet all very alike. How do I have the strength to go on, to trust again, to find love again? They ask. How do I find Hope? Maybe that will be a blog for the future, but for now my answer is this: What you focus on determines your direction in life.
If you focus on the bad, you will see the muck that holds you down. If instead, you look up, you will see the beauty in the life around you. God does not give us the box top to the puzzle we call life. Making our lives beautiful is near impossible because we don’t know what they are supposed to look like. God is the one that holds the picture of who we are meant to be.
We are an embroidered cloth. When we look at the backside we see tangled of thread. A mess, we think. But God encourages us to look around its edges and catch a glimpse of the masterpiece that He is weaving in our lives.
This life is abusive. Every person reading this has been abused in some way. It might not be a husband/ wife, it might not be a mother/father, it might not even be a boss or coworker, but someone has treated you badly and damaged your picture of who you really are. Abuse is no respecter of religion, culture, race or economic background. You could be the most stunningly beautiful, rich, popular person and you could still have to face abuse daily. No one will ever know, because you hold your secret well. Please no you are not alone and that you are cherished.
You are indeed beautiful. You were made that way for God. You make Him smile and Zephaniah says that He sings over us. Listen my friends, He sings at the thought of you. You lift His heart. SMILE. You are loved.
Share this with someone you love. They might need to hear it today. Meghan
