“Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” Isaiah 4:8-9
My blessing today comes in the form of healing. One of my relatives little girl has been extremely sick for a long time. Six years old she has been crying out in pain for God to kill her. My heart went out to this family as I prayed diligently. Last night, late, I heard that after visiting numerous hospitals in three different states they have finally found a diagnosis. Treatment has started and they are seeing relief. Oh, thank you Lord for caring about the little ones. Now they go forward in the journey of healing.
God wants to heal us too. Maybe we all do not find physical healing, but emotional wellbeing is their for the taking. God holds His love there for us to take and hold close to our hearts. We too must journey down that road of healing. We must not stay in the pain crying out for God to make it go away. Instead He has a treatment ready for each one of us. All we need to do is take it and walk forward.
I met a close friend of mine in the grocery store. It was a Godsend I know it. She told me that she heard a pastor on the radio say that as we drive into our future we need to stop looking through the rearview mirror and put our whole focus on the front windshield. It does not matter what has happened to us in our past. We need to stop looking behind. God has a big window where He wants us to be looking through, not a little mirror looking into the past.
So as you go into this new year look ahead. Do not strain to see what is behind you. God has closed that door. What God closes we should not fight against. Look forward and be excited that He has a great trip planned for you.
Put on your seatbelt and drive forward.
